Do you need an application, but cannot install whatever you find online for information security reasons, and cannot use web applications for data protection reasons? For many purposes, the easiest solution is to create your own purpose-built application! Claude can build interactive tools: calculators, forms, generators, and others, to be run locally on your own computer.

Goal

You will learn to create simple but practical mini apps with Claude that you can run inside Claude or as locally run files. You will also learn how to prompt these applications correctly so that Claude builds them properly.

Target audience

For anyone who wants to automate recurring work tasks or build a lightweight tool without programming skills. We recommend completing Claude Basics 1–2 and Claude Advanced 1–2 first.

Software version

The course uses Anthropic Claude (both the web version and the application are suitable). The course is suitable for users of the free version of Claude, but coding often uses up the usage limits so quickly that a paid Claude account may be considered necessary.
